Heyyyy,
So FINALLY, I have decided what I would like to go to college for, and most importantly what I would like to do for the rest of my life. ART! Whether it has to do with some sort of design, photography, I just know that it HAS to be involved with art. It only took me what until my Senior year of college to realize that my initial major of Fine Arts was what I wanted to do. I should have just stuck with what my heart wanted me to do. But no I had to be suckered into the Pharmeceudical world of drug addicts and hypochondriacs for 3 years of my life.
Apparently the Pharmeceudical World offers ridiculous amounts of money along with the same amount of misery to go with it. I was told the company would pay for my education as long as I worked for the company for a minimum of 5 years after graduation. Sounds like a good deal, only if you enjoy going to class with people who know how to solve crazy equations that my poor graphing calculator struggled to solve. The classes required in order to be a Pharmacist should be considered unethical. Biology wasn't too bad, but BioChem...not so much. I can't even pass Calculus. These abstract classes where they combine two different subjects that practically have NOTHING to do with one another are completely usless. I worked as a Pharmacy Technician for 3 1/2 years and I could have been a Pharmacist. I knew drug interactions, what almost every medication was used for, what side effects were, you name it I knew it better than some Pharmacists did. Train me for a few more years on that information, test me, give me my degree and I could be a Pharmacist. Nope...Got to do the bullshit before you can get a degree. It discouraged me from becomming a Pharmacist. Then I heard how each and every Pharmacist complained about how they hate their job, how miserable they were, and how they wish they did something else. Fortunately their mistake opened my eyes before I made the same error that they did. Then I got fired from the company for having MONO! Yeah, that's a whole other story.
Now I am a waitress! I love my job, to a certain degree. I think I like the people I work with more than the job itself and that makes all the difference in the world. I am glad I have finally decided on a general idea of a profession. I am even happier that I made this decision myself, and did not do what others thought was right for me but did what I KNEW was right for me. So this semester I am taking Basic Drawing, Basic Design, Fund. of Computer Art, and Fund. of Italian. I have done two projects for my drawing class I just need to get batteries for my digital camera and they shall be up.
That brings me as to why I am writing a journal entry on deviantART.com not on myspace.com or whatever that other one is. Who knows... Anyways, I am going to be posting my work from my classes and some independenly completed items on here. Once they are added I would appreciate feedback so that I can acknowledge what improvements can be made. Hopefully one day I will be good enough to have fans, admirers, and gain bragging rights just like some of the amazing artists on deviantART.com. Maybe even some day eventually finish college...Haha!
Thanks for listening to my RANT!
